Magnificent Italian food of the slightly elevated category. Fantastic meat with just as good stone mushrooms and also the pasta was, according to my accompaniment, a highly enjoyable. We were operated by a very apart young lady. We felt very comfortable. I'm glad to see you again. View all feedback.
What Maria Gaylord doesn't like about Trattoria Peperoncino:
during this pandemic we ordered pizza to go, and it was absolutely terrible! tasted like boxed pizza from the freezer on their local market. I'm sorry, I'm not going back. View all feedback.
The restaurant is located in a small next street of the dazzling place. real Italian people. the prices are very reasonable and the service was very friendly. the quality of food was very good. we were so happy that we booked for the next night. Unfortunately. we had to cancel this reservation. I had the impression that we were the only tourist, all the others were native.
We ordered pasta, which was good, but could have been more. a friend ordered fish with vegetables and potatoes. the fish was burned by one side and she had only two very small kartomas on her teller. the price of 24 euro was. too high. the worst was the service, we waited 80 minutes for our food. the waiter should be more polite.

The pizza was directly from the super market, it is not recommended to choose the pizza. the rest of the menu looked ok.
We have been here three times. It is a small restaurant and without a reservation, you will need to come immediately when it opens. We had the parmesan fettuccine (Bandnudeln) with fresh truffles and the veal scallopini with a mushroom cream sauce. Both were delicious...but might be a little rich for some diners. There were also several pasta and scallopini dishes with white wine sauce rather than creamy sauces. The chocolate souffle was more what I would call a lava cake than a souffle, but it was rich and flavorful. Wine list is small but good. The service was friendly and the pace of the meal was leisurely (about 1.5 hours for two of us to eat) but not too slow. Very easy walking distance from the Hilton Mainz City.
