Contribute FeedbackI had the vegan pizza with grilled vegetables. especially the pizzateig was very delicious, crispy, but not too dry. the part was plentiful, it did not complete. my colleague had the hummusburger who only arrived so mediocrely with her. I actually wanted to dessert the vegan, try the milk rice with caramelized banana, but I was already so tired of the pizza.
Stadtbalkon is a beautiful restaurant/café with several vegan options, e.g. vegan suppe, vegan starter, salad, vegan sandwich, vegan pasta dishes, several vegan burger, two vegan pizzas. I have already tried several burgers and both pizzas. everything was good, but not exceptional. I especially liked the pizza with grilled vegetables that is not a typical pizza, but a very tasty teig that is embroidered with a massive part of the sweet. stadtbalkon is an ideal place if you want to eat with non-vegan friends, and maybe have a drink or two afterwards. it is also ideal if they only come with one person, because then they can sit outside on their very narrow balcony above the main shopping street, where they can only sit next to each other, but have a beautiful view and can observe everything.
There are various vegan dishes such as an salad, a sandwich and a burger, all very tasty, but all are dressed with the same sauce. if they don't like them or even want anything else, the choice is very small. atmosphere very nice.
I am a bit confused by the other very bad review of this place. stadtbalkon is not necessarily the first choice for vegans in mainz, but in my opinion they do a good work in the gastronomy for vegans: they have some zucchini buffers (fried patties from zucchini piggy) with soy yogurt sauce, which are nice and also their two vegan pizza options are very good in my opinion. the salat (on one of the pizzen or on own faust) is not a Bland salad, but from stones crumbled garden in gonseheim, which is a fantastic local crumble producer. if at all, I don't like that they often play quite loud music and seem to attract big groups that like to speak very loud while I drink cocktails, I never feel like staying for how long. but eating is a good option, especially if you need a choice of restaurant that also likes non-vegans. updated by previous review on 2017-03-06
Nice atmosphere and waiters. Cocktails were good. Sorry to report that the vegan food is underwhelming. Tasteless pizza with salad and terrible sauce on top. They'll have to work on their vegan options.
