The restaurant is careful about the origins of food and drinks, and supports local producers. The night we were there the staff was all female, and from the toilets it was clear they support women (free sanitary items). We sat outside on the terrace where the vibe was very much a local restaurant.
A lovely restaurant in Mainz, with fairly typical dishes, which is why I ate here. Service was friendly, helpful and good, and the food was lovely. The room is attractive, there is a nice selection of local wines and beer, and overall I spent a very pleasant evening here.
This is probably the best restaurant in the 'Neustadt ' of Mainz, both in terms of food quality and service. The owner and chef of the restaurant ist from the nearby Hunsrück region and she serves mainly local dishes with a little touch of french refinement. Her kitchen has its foundation in the old recipes of her family and the region. She likes to preserve these, but also to improve them with modern, contemporary nutritional knowledge. Her love for cooking is supplemented with the best ingredients that she can find largely from small and friendly farmers from Rheinhessen and the Palatinate. The restaurant 's ambience is modern yet unpretentious. Service was professional, quick and friendly. the wine card is extensive and impressive. We very much enjoyed our evening out there in many way.
Who likes hearty kitchen, he finds in golden heir with safety the appropriate. good portioning, tastefully remembers everything of mamas or omas kitchen. the price-performance ratio is neat. the broth spreads on the front you can share well. It would be great if you were to find a lighter dish on the map - such as homemade wildravioli, which I had eaten here a long time ago. we'll be back in any case!
Equipment very cool, tables are very narrow, everything is more to dry. theke and the ceiling lamps are nice but the rest are uncomfortable. clear but varied card.Availing comes promptly, distributed menus and takes up quite unfriendly the order. ach the leberknödel are out, you can also tell if the cards are distributed! Then the note that today everything takes longer because in the kitchen are out. (the local has 40 places and is only half occupied). then come the appetizers. crostini bean tapenade....very oily, and after that you are already fed up, the main dish could be ordered. also the other appetizers are too much, rather share something!!Naja the main dish should take something, so the initial note. Nothing here, the first food comes, the appetizers have not yet been cleared. hectic, then the note in the kitchen had gone a bit wrong. well I eat alone, my 4 companions watch. The calves are not crispy, the panad falls off and is fat-savvy and the meat is not tender. also the bratkartoffels are very fat and by no means crispy. the other eats are dry (hirschgulasch) and the kartoffelstampf is also extra enriched with fat/oil. Conclusion, there are much more beautiful, more cozy restaurants in mainz, with more professionalism and ambiente. you can also eat better and then usually has more space available and more friendly service. for bistroambiente, moderate eating and missing professionalism too expensive.
