Food was great! Ordered a spaghetti and their Sophia Loren pizza special. The spaghetti was simple, but had a good balance of creamy tomato sauce, while tasting the flavours of the spaghetti. The pizza was great! The dough was fluffy, the toppings were great and the anchovies were cooked well! Recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to hangout and grab a bite near Duomo. What Monique Janssen doesn't like about Sophia Loren Milano:
Food was not special and half of it was not warm. Service was not good. Nobody asked if we wanted something to drink, nobody asked if the food was oke, they served us dinner and that was it. They did nothing with our complaints that the food wasn 't warm. Wine € 8, per glass, cappucino € 6, for a small cup and € 28, for a small piece of Salmon and only 3 green asperagus... The restaurant is fashion and unique. Food is good. All tables were occupied as it was fully booked. I like pasta ala bolognese and coconut cake. However, the service was too bad. I was waiting my pasta long time and Waiter talked to me like it’s normal, replying ‘it’s fresh pasta’ , of course it shall be fresh and his manner of talking I didn’t like. Even he counted for me espresso which I didn’t order, and after that 2 times asked me if I really didn’t order that. You need to improve the customer service.
We had dinner at a restaurant on March 27th. Two adults and a 15 year old child. We ordered oysters. And all three of them got poisoned. I don't recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, they only use the name of the great actress... and the food and service are simply terrible. The only big thank you to the Russian-speaking waitress, she smoothed out the negative aspects in the restaurant. We asked to bring water that was not cold and the local waitress said ok, they brought it very cold. We asked the Russian-speaking waitress to change it and she did it in a second. Today we are all sitting at home with poisoning for half a day. The total bill was about 200 euros.
I have very mixed feelings about this place. We were there with friends in March, the place was quite empty, but the service was very poor. The waiter chatted and wanted to learn Polish phrases to entertain our compatriots who were also in the restaurant. Unfortunately, our orders were mixed up twice later, what was advertised was also included on the bill and at the end he asked us if we could be persuaded to order limoncello (in most restaurants it is offered for free as a nice gesture), so he persuaded us but forgot to add that it is an additional fee of 30 euros for 5 shots. If it weren't for the terrible service, the restaurant would have received a solid 5. The food was delicious all the pizzas and pastas we ordered were excellent, the interior was classy, and the tiramisu was the best that me and my friends had ever eaten. The restaurant itself is quite expensive and you have to be careful not to pay even more than you should
