stay them down in Maidstone, but no eating or bar in the hotel, so it is a takeaway week and that was a good foundation on google maps. huh dhansak, pilou rice, wobblesalat and naan for £10-70, bargain. the dhansak was just on place, sour and hot with a beautiful deep taste and taste. also good portions, possibly eat for 2 if they just want a quick bite. the naan was a bit cold, but no massive problem. would recommen... We have been using this restaurant for take away and eating in. Always had superb service and food. That includes Family and Friends who have ordered various items on the menu.Well done The Spice Hut
It has improved so much over the past few years! I took my friends there for an evening meal, great service and even better food! Was extremely quick we didn't have to wait long at all, definately recommend this place
We had invited friends down to Maidstone with the promise of a good curry. Our usual curry house was booked, so we went to the Spice Hut on Brewer Street. Our cab was mins late so I telephoned SH to let them know. Despite us being mins late, our table still wasn't ready. We waited minutes for our main course, and hadn't ordered a starter. We ordered a drinks round before our main came but it never turned up and we had to eat with no drinks. Food came out very cold, so had to be returned. When the food eventually came back, and hot, it was nice. But at this point, we'd lost interest.I asked for a discount on the bill and they refused. Eventually manager gave us just off! There are much better indian restaurants in Maidstone, avoid the Spice Hut
The Madras this place offers its customers is not good at all. I had Lamb in what only I can only describe as oily dish water with no spice. Its the worst by far from Maidstone. I have been too them all. The good parts are the restaurant has helpful staff Nice mushroom rice Good nan bread sag aloo. If you ask me would I go back the answer would have to be no. Its a real shame but the Curry sauce is king for me. If you cant cook it you have no business being a chef in a restaurant
This wa our favourite Indian till we left Maidstone! they were tolerant of us taking the baby in there on a sunday evening, no need to get a baby sitter! very friendly helpful staff! great food and slightly bigger portions when you are a regular! but you will have trouble fitting it all in anyway! quite a well hidden secret as it is off of any main streets
