Had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, corn bread and swan. Slav had the perfect balance between sweet and vinegary. The corn cake wedge was baked and grilled. I could eat it for dessert! Great place to sit and eat. The food was delicious and had a very good taste. Especially the macaroni. It had a great smoked taste you don't get anywhere. I recommend eating in this restaurant!
Awesome bbq... best ever maize bread. Don't miss this place.
I love this place. Smoky taste hot and good food. Warm wood to keep you comfortable

The beans were sweet and smokey. Some of the best beans I've ever eaten. But the best thing was the delicate, smoked bbq on a fried and grilled bakery radio. I wanted to taste the meat before I put every sauce on the sandwich and had eaten almost half of it before I replaced the top of the bungalow and eat it as a sandwich. Great, great barbeque! Go back and take family and friends with us. Well worth the trip and the money. Dave and Judy
Before you drive out here a few cautions... If you are coming for something specific you saw on the menu, as others have stated, be aware they may have sold out of it, so have a second, and third choice available. And, if you are dining in be aware there are only a few table/picnic tables (think converted gas station) so be prepare to get it to go or to eat in your car. For some unknown reason this restaurant is located directly across the street from the Hickory Notch Grill BBQ in the middle of an area with little else. The mustard bbq that is really grain mustard, not the Georgia mustard that is the standard and the regular is a mild tomato based. The unique coleslaw and mac and cheese are heavy on black pepper, which is good or bad based on your appreciation for black pepper. Yes, everyone is VERY friendly, but that 's not about the food. BBQ pork is a mild smoke, as is the chicken, while the brisket is more pronounced smoked but note that it is only available on certain days and subject to being sold out. Ribs are also best ordered in advance. The cornbread is an excellent balance of sweet and standard. Tips are not required since you place the order yourself at the counter and clean up your own table but show up on the machine when you charge to a credit card. Hickory Notch across the road has some items better and better seating choices while Piedmont has some better items. Try both of them.
