Even though there were only thre... read more We have eaten at Rick's restaurant several times before, but our most recent visit was not as good as our previous experiences. Even though there were only three other tables occupied, the service was unusually slow, making our dinner last almost two hours when it usually only takes one. Unfortunately, one of the dishes we wanted was no longer available, and we were not informed promptly, causing my wife to choose a different option. The grilled calamari was tough, but the garlic sauce was tasty. On the other hand, the sesame-crusted tuna with wasabi was perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife's salmon dish was also tasty, but she had to take most of it home because the clam chowder she ordered was very filling. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. We brought a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, which paired well with the food. Our server seemed more focused on chatting with customers at another table than making sure our food arrived quickly. Despite this disappointing experience, we are willing to give Rick's another chance in the future. However, if we have another visit like this one, we may reconsider coming back.
