What Carla C doesn't like about Bruggeman's Supervalu:
Overpriced. The parking lot is a mine field. The selections in the weekly ad are often out of stock. They have a sign on the door and throughout the store to leave things at the customer service counter because if they sell it, they may think you stole it. I won't go in there unless it is a dire emergency. View all feedback.
I'm loving it here! I've found that many of the sale items are less expensive than Walmart.
Bruggeman's is an excellent shopping destination, featuring friendly staff and efficient checkouts. The store also actively supports local events, and this year marks their second donation to the Wellbriety event in August. The owners have generously contributed to our meetings, and their support has been instrumental in the growth of the Wellbriety program in Mahnomen. Their commitment is making a significant impact in our community, aiding many in their struggle against drug and alcohol addiction. On behalf of everyone in our community, we extend our heartfelt thanks—not just for your donations, but for being a small-town business that bravely supports opportunities for positive change. It’s these small gestures that foster lasting transformation!
Expensive. The parking lot is a disaster. Many items listed in the weekly ad are frequently out of stock. There's a sign by the entrance and throughout the store asking customers to leave items at the customer service counter, as they might assume you stole them if you take them through the store. I only plan to visit in case of an absolute emergency.
The owner exhibited racist behavior, which is disappointing considering that the store is located on the reservation and should acknowledge tribal IDs.
It's a fun place to work and shop. The team feels like one big family. The people are fantastic, the customers are wonderful, and there's a great selection of merchandise to choose from.
