Cenare da Settimio in San Feliciano (PG) on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, is equivalent to being in a present complex (in mathematics a quantity that is made from a real part and on an imaginary part is called, complex), composed of the fantasies aroused by the vision of the hills that saw the clash between Hannibal and the console Caio Flaminio, combined with the succulent and choreographically inviting reality that... What EkaterinaKK doesn't like about Da Settimio:
So I must say that the food is quite fine , I liked the perch fish, but the eel was with bones and very heavy. The desserts were good. With coffee they brought little sweets. However it is quite expensive for such small portions. The place itself is full of dead bodies of animals and photos of hunting .... just ugly View all feedback.
Excellent, historic fish restaurant in San Feliciano overlooking Lake Trasimeno. Super meal with excellent service from the staff who spoke very good English. Lovely array of old family photos demonstrating the history of the restaurant dating back to 1930’s. Would be our first choice restaurant if we come back.
We had dinner in this location, and as soon as you sit down you notice it : time stood still in this place. Yes, it could have been an five star location in the 80ths for the British tourists of those days. Unfortunately times and travellers change and today this is a no-go! Old fashion dishes and tourist traps : beware of the bones in the fish they serve and of the story they tell you about the provenance of the fish (it's all coming from the lake, yeah right.. but hey, it sells. As well a waitress telling you 1 side dish is includes in the price of your main, but when you ask her to get the bill she disappears. In the beginning you wonder why, but then it all becomes clear when you get to the counter and get the bill and see that actually the sides are NOT includes in the mains. A rip off! Overall experience : a waist of our descent money! Money we work for all year to get on holidays, not to be ripped off! Never again!
We have a house since 20y in Italy and honestly know what a normal italian restaurant quality is. This is clearly below average. In San Feliciano, da Massimo certainly has better fish. Our carp was far from fresh, the risotto was not risotto rice etc etc the only thing we liked were the fried potatoes! Staff was actually very friendly even allowing our dog in but food just not good enough. Un peccato..
I was at dinner a few nights ago as a septimius, during my short but wonderful stay on the lake at least. What to say: perfect in everything. in all! beautiful location, attention to detail, an impeccable ink between bucolic details, shots, bells and frankly elegant and refined elements! perfect the warm and fioche lights that recreate an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, a wonderful selection of acoustic background music. friendly, friendly and attentive staff to our needs. great service. I started dinner with a delicious appetizer of lake with boiled perch, tri of croutons of lake (with carasso, with smoked tinca and with carp eggs: one more good than the other) and fried dairy! as first course I opted for homemade noodles for the smoked tinca: delicious, a real masterpiece! cook to the tooth and the abundance of white tinca ragù! I continued with a portion of the lake frying with goregone, beads of why in fine breading, daiini and shrimp of lake. fresh fish, because and goregone melted branches in the mouth! A lady fried from the lake! I finished this wonderful dinner with homemade tozzetti (with anise, raisins and almonds) served with vinsanto: great! surely good also the Pinot Grigio that wet our palates. low prices considering the quality of the product offered and the wonderful location. I highly recommend it.
Besides telling you how good our lake fish dinner was, I absolutely must report the impeccable service, really wanted. Good!
