We return to the Hibernia for afternoon coffee and cake. Always a good move. Love the quiet, classy surrounds with the dodecahedral light fittings! Nice selection of cakes, and great service from the young man at the counter. Newspaper supplied and bottled water and glasses. Parking is easy at the nearby shopping centre. View all feedback.
What Kacey Ryan doesn't like about Hibernia Cafe:
Apart from the fact that it closes early like all the cafes around here, this is simply a very nice little addition to the area. In an interesting, high-ceilinged building, we've eaten food here, which was reasonably good, but it's best just for a bit of coffee and cake (some good choices) in a slightly upmarket atmosphere View all feedback.
Friends and I dropped in recently and enjoyed a great lunch. It was nice and warm inside, very clean and the service was friendly and prompt. The menu offerings are interesting and different to many cafes. How often do you see black pudding on a menu? The waiter was very enthusiastic about their food. We went with the specials and what a treat they were. The truffle omelette was cooked and presented with great finesse and a delight to eat. The Japanese fitters looked overdone but were tasty and all eaten so they couldn't have been too bad! The coffee was very good as well. As the cafe filled with customers, the place became very noisy and it was harder to hear at our table. The cafe has very high ceilings which are lovely but it doesn't help with the noise levels! By the time we left, all the tables were full. I would recommend a visit to Hibernia if you are in the area.
Fresh appearance, pleasant staff good coffee. The but is noise. Difficult to hold a conversation, some form of dampener on the walls could assist, painted egg cartons to go with imaginative other wall decorations. Visit time weekday 1045 to 1145.

My better half and I went there this morning for quiet Sunday brekkie for the first time and we absolutely love this place. Staff were really nice, sincere and friendly. Coffee whomever the barista was thank you, it was very well done and a good pick me up. The food Mocha Breakfast. It was unusual to us and very enjoyable. Never knew kale could taste so good cooked in this manner. Chewy donut now that was an unassuming little fellow who was quite filling. We will definitely be heading back there for more and I read in a couple of reviews that it was noisy, however we felt it was...just right. Good ambience, families and friends getting together. Overall Yummy!!!
We love Hibernia. It is a great cafe during the day, with fantastic coffee and serving breakfast and lunches. On occasional Friday nights they offer tapas always booked out! Just round the corner from where we live too how fortunate for us!
