OMG! Had to come out here to the hills of N. Carolina to find the best Baked French Onion Soup ever! Sherry based, couple different cheeses on top, then sprinkled with parmesan cheese and paprika. Went to cut through the cheese top, it must have been an inch thick. Not just a thin topping! I would put their Baked French Onion Soup up against any fancy New York restaurant! Food was so-so. Service was OK. Beer selection was weak for this neck of the woods. Way overpriced menu items. Shrimp skewers were terrible, and had a yellow so-called bernaise sauce which had no flavor and was kinda scary. Trout and salmon were OK, but over priced. The lobby is very quaint but the restaurant looks more like a rustic diner. View all feedback.
