Good selection of cakes and many interesting antique photos of magdeburg before the destruction of the city in the second world war

The hotel is located along the courtyard of the green citadel, this is a pleasant place for a meal, a snack or a cup coffee. I had a cappuccino and a piece of cake; my wife had ice, all were of high quality. the service was a little inappropriate.

After your visit to Hunderwasserhouse, stay there and right in the middle of the house you will find this lovely place for coffee and cake, a drink or a light lunch. We had good cakes and coffee and looked to the other guests light lunch...dishes! They looked jealous at the plates of the other guests.

We were in Magdeburg to check out the city where myGrandparents came from before WW 2. The town is depressing due to war damage and Soviet occupation. This cafe gave us a vignette, a glimpse of what this place was before the War. The food...was very good and staff pleasant. Personally, I felt relieved to see the wonderful pre war photo's that cover the walls. My Grandparents stories were true after all. Magdeburg had been a lovely place.......once.

I went with my husband and it was so lovely Sadly it close early by 6pm I love it there What a treat We walked in here from the big church and the square where water fountain decorated the big vast space and children jumps...happily It is a good place to relax and have a traditional tea
