Super thrilled to fin... read more My tiptop favorite local eatery on Doi Chang, this review marks my 4th return visit to this hidden gem which is frequent mostly by locals. Super thrilled to finally able make a return visit after international travel bans are lifted alas. Their spicy chicken Yunnan style is really unique with special herbs and peppercorn-sort spices, it 's spiciness comes with an extra 'kick ' yet very addictive. Spicy fish soup- Yunnan style is also highly recommended the fish is very fresh, stir fry noodle is also very tasty. Developed my own style of mixing noodle into the spicy chicken herb spice gravy- making this an absolute perfect pairing. Previously the restaurant was made of wooden structure however now they have renovated the property into cement structure. Though it still commands a nice grand view overlooking mountain and village beneath, i kinda missed the former design with stone bench and long stone tables facing the view instead. Dish preparation takes awhile as the lady boss tends to everything herself including cooking, there were no other staffs when i was there in June, but it 's totally worth the wait. After-all, relaxation and enjoying life at slower pace is THE WAY to enjoy Doi Chang, what 's the rush anyway? Price is beyond reasonable for the food quality and portion size served. Looking forward to next soonest return trip- fingers crossed.
