very suggestive location: an old castle overlooking the Toblin lake (I recommend in the summer months to arrive before the ones in order to enjoy the sunset). Plates with original and well prepared combinations. service (perhaps due to the rhythms typical of all you can eat) a little too asphyxiating, description of the dishes almost useless because it does not add anything to what is reported on the menu. What Egidio Pellegrini doesn't like about Bar Castel Toblino Di Shkreli Toni:
We set high expectations for that restaurant, but all in all had a so so feeling. one menu (land) was pretty good though not stunning, but the fish menu was pretty bad and not in par with the other one. Food was pretty salty as well. Deserts were good, but there was no surprise, generosity or unique character there... Yes the view is superb View all feedback.
Although a bit out of the way, Castel Toblino is well worth a visit. The lakeside location offers beautiful views for diners and the menu choices were plentiful. We had and thoroughly enjoyed the Menu Terre and the recommended bottle of a local red wine. Grazie Mille!!
We had the menu Terra. The only portion we kind of liked was the ravioli. All the other courses were either tasteless or bad. First time ever we couldn't even eat the main course, veal sirloin. The service wasn't any better. Waiter couldn't tell the contents of the courses in english and after the first course didn't even bother to try and spoke only italian. We tried to explain why we didn't like the main course but neither the manager or the waiter could undestand us. No compensation or anything even though we barely touched the main course. The place was really stunning though, a fine castle and terrace overlooking a beautiful lake. But over 150€ was a bit too much to pay just for the view.
We went for a lunch because the place has a Michelin recommendation and the location looked lovely. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the quality, or total lack of, the food. We had two different starters and two different pasta dishes. One starter was a huge lumb of semi raw meat of questionable quality. We had only one bite and left the rest. The other starter was some kind of weird raw fish roll absolutely terribly. The one pasta dish had a cream of zucchini cream and the best thing we could say about it, is that it tasted basically of nothing at all. That was unfortunately not true for the gnochis which came in a mixture of a soapy tasting pesto and very fat bacon. We had again only two spoons and left the restaurant. Although we barely touched any of the four dishes, no apologies or offering from the restaurant to reduce the invoice. A truly terribly experience and by far the worst food we had in our two weeks in Italy. Stay away! P.S.: It appears that this restaurant has a lot of five star and also a lot of one star reviews. Maybe the chef has changed or there are different chefs involved. I can only judge my experience of that day, perhaps the quality is different on other days.
Wine cellar, wine cellar, restaurant and shop of typical Trentino products. bulky wines, in box or in bottle sold in detail. you can place yourself at the wine shop. contemporary architecture rather interesting. attached parking. open almost all year round.
Wine cellar with restaurant well-stocked with wines a little 'of all the Trentino, but especially the precious and delicious wine of Trentino, a historical passito wine . staff really kind .
