I went this afternoon to have lunch and the service was very disappointing. Everything was going well until we asked for the desserts, where I asked if one of them had nuts due to a severe allergy that I have. The waiter told me that I needed to have the app and scan a qr code to then look at the menu myself. I told him I didn 't have the app, to which he replied 'oh well... '. He made no effort to find out if it contained nuts and on top of that, my brother (who had the app) looked it up and the online menu said it was safe to eat, to then find out through a different waitress that it had peanuts. I think it 's ridiculous for people with dietary requirements having to install random apps to find out if they can have a meal at a restaurant when dining in. After that, I am not going back to this restaurant.

Came for lunch with family, took ages to get the orders, even more to get the food, and second course came cold and only after walking up to staff and asking them to bring it. Courteous staff but very, very clearly understaffed for the capacity. Avoid if looking for speedy service and meals that are still hot when brought to the table. Finishing this review now, but still waiting for desserts.

This is honest to goodness cafe food eaten at a pavement table surrounded by real Madrileños. It is a regular neighbourhood with regular people doing everyday things, like walking the dog (lots of pet dogs in Madrid by the way) except it’s very pleasant to sit outside and eat in 30 degree heat. I had an Argentinian steak with wedges and veg, beer and a coffee for €20. The staff don’t have a word of English which is great so you’ll have to get by pointing at the nice pictures in the easy to follow menu and saying Gracias a lot. A few vegetarian options which, when I visited Madrid last in 2016, was a problem for my better half (and consequently, me). So don’t dress up, just head along, order a drink, let the very smiley and friendly staff look after you and watch (the probably much better looking than your used to) world go by with its dog.
