Rick Steve’s recommended it. We wanted to dine with locals, we hate tourist traps, and we are very patient, not loud. There are people of color in our American party. We tried in vain to get any kind of communication from the server. We waited super patiently with respect to the space we took up. The server refused to communicate with us. We finally left. It was a busy Friday night. Had much nicer service at a Mercado in the area and a meson. We think he hates Americans after our experience and reading other reviews. We don’t think he has any issue with other Europeans. He sat several in front of us. Visit at your own risk.

Far away from the t... read more We returned to Bar Tempranillo after being introduced on a gourmet food tour. This is a gorgeous local wine bar with the most amazing food!! Far away from the tourist haunts this place hums with locals. The baby squid pintxos are superb!! Fabulous selection of wine in a warm and cosy atmosphere!!!
