Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light and airy interior, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and some beautiful tiled murals adorning the walls, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern, it's a great place to unwind in. We were here on a Monday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and accompanied with a tasty tapa ,we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. The beer served here is spot on,on a hot day an iced cold beer was just what we needed, we had an absolutely fantastic time in here before we moved on. Taverna La Solea is easy to locate along Calle Mesonero Romanos in an area teeming with pubs,bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Well worth checking out if your in the area.

It’s a small restaurant with really basic decor and it was full of local Spanish people, which is generally a good sign. They have a menu where you can get an appetiser, main and dessert for only 10 euro! The food is absolutely delightful. Definitely try the seafood pasta appetiser, it’s the best thing I have ever eaten. I would go back in a heartbeat.
