Taberna La Solea - Madrid

Quedé muy contento, especialmente con la ensalada César y la tortilla de patatas. Estaban tan deliciosas que, al regresar a Asturias, me llevé dos bocadillos. Se me hace la boca agua solo de pensar en ellas. El trato fue muy amable, especialmente por parte del dueño. Si vuelvo, que espero que sí, les haré una visita para disfrutar de sus platos.

Las porciones del menú no son muy grandes pero realmente deliciosas. Acabo de comer un pollo asado con limón delicioso y esas patatas.... ¡Volveré!

My twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around the wonderful Sol neighbourhood on a roasting hot afternoon and with temperatures hitting the mid 30's we decided to drop into Taberna La Solea for a cooling beer and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light and airy interior, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and some beautiful tiled murals adorning the walls, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern, it's a great place to unwind in. We were here on a Monday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and accompanied with a tasty tapa ,we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. The beer served here is spot on,on a hot day an iced cold beer was just what we needed, we had an absolutely fantastic time in here before we moved on. Taverna La Solea is easy to locate along Calle Mesonero Romanos in an area teeming with pubs,bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Well worth checking out if your in the area.

Nice simple eating. good paella. quieter place, but not too far from the truppet.
