Wish I had read the review about this place before I went there, waitress was unfriendly spoke practically no English and acted like I was more of a nuisance to her. I ordered grilled salmon and that had to be the worst tasting salmon I...have ever ordered, and I have eaten grilled salmon many times before. I realized that I am currently visiting a foreign country and am limited in my Spanish language skills. But I am after all, just another human being and would like to be treated as such. I would not recommend that place to my worst enemy. I paid my bill and left. Still leaving a tip.—-stay away
This is a very difficult review to write because I am very aware that our Irish tastes are very different to Spanish tastes and it is not fair to judge a typically Spanish place on our Irish expectations. The €11 menu is very hard to...beat as it includes your bread, three courses and a drink. The kids started off with a safe option of spaghetti Bolognese and enjoyed it. My husband and I picked the seafood soup which included small, whole crabs as well as mussels and squid rings. It was tasty but I think the whole crabs put my husband off a little. I chose the turbot for my main course which was fine and served with an undressed salad. The rest of my family had beef or turkey served with chips. The chips went down well but the meat was too underdone to our taste. I chose a very acceptable Creme Caramel for pudding but when I tasted the cheesecake my husband and the kids ordered I regretted my choice. Not cheesecake in the sense we know it it was a soft, tangy cheese desert with a caramel sauce with no biscuit base it was divine. The waiters were extremely busy but had time to be friendly and provide us with menus in English when they realised I was sitting trying to translate the menu with the aid of my phrase book. The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime as it was popular with the locals.
