I saw nice reviews and went there for a lunch. They only had 2 starters and 2 main dishes. I wanted to order something out of menu of the day, but they dont serve any other food until 18 o'clock. The food was very average and portions were small. Not worth the 15 euros price that the menu has (when you sit outside on the terrace). Decepción enorme. Fuimos a comer menú del día. Solo elección de 2 primeros y 2 segundos. No se puede pedir nada fuera del menú del día hasta las 18. Ademas raciones pequeñas y la comida no tiene mucho sabor. No vale los 15 euros el menú.

The manag... read more We had just arrived in Madrid and after dropping off our bags in the hotel went looking for coffee and a late lunch. Fortunately we stopped in Lacana. The manager spoke good English, assisted us with the order, and served a small cup of excellent coffee. The cod was excellent. We retuned the next two mornings for breakfast and had Spanish omelets, more coffee and then a repeat of the cod dish. The price was reasonable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is close to the Reine Sofia but far enough away from the Atocha intersections to be comfortable, convenient, and quiet. We only saw adults in the restaurant.

It's also located one minute away from Reina Sofía museum, so it's a great option to eat/drink something before or after visiting it.

They have a “terraza” with shade which you will be so happy to enjoy in an early summer afternoon. We liked the vibe as it seems this is a spot for locals to enjoy a drink at any time.
