We came here based on what we’d read online in various publications, but unfortunately La Capa failed to live up to expectations. Firstly, the booking system is done exclusively through Instagram, even being told this when going in person to try and make a reservation. Ok, fine, it’s 2025 after all ‍ Next up, the food was nothing special. However, we later found out our waiter failed to mention any off-menu options, something we only learned about from the table next to us after we’d already ordered. But food wasn't our primary reason for visiting. We were genuinely excited to try the natural wines and had really looked forward to exploring their selection. Unfortunately, our waiter didn’t seem to have the time or inclination to explain what they had on offer, let alone suggest anything that might go well with our meal. This was incredibly frustrating, as the wine was a main draw for us. Instead of engaging with us, he seemed to prefer hanging out with his friends at the bar. To top it off, we saw his friends happily drinking wine from the tap – an option he hadn't even bothered to mention was available to us when we'd specifically asked what wines they had by the glass. Overall, La Capa felt less like a restaurant or bar, and more like a private clubhouse. It truly seemed as though the place had opened primarily as a hangout for friends, while paying customers were somewhat of an inconvenience.
