One of the best places in Madrid to take punos. with great solera and with spectacular classics. It has some tables inside, a relatively new terrace very nice and a long bar where to stand as in the bars of always of madrid. In front of one of the entrances of the peace market is undoubtedly a must visit.
This restaurant is located in the Salamanca neighborhood. It reminds me of the old-style restaurants. The pinchos are really good! I highly recommend the Spanish omelette. Service is friendly and efficient.
My wife and I wanted to eat in somewhere that was typical of a traditional tapas bar and after a little research found Jurucha which had the advantage of being close to the Gran Melia Fenix Hotel where we where staying. We were not disappointed and were able to sample a wide variety of tapas washed down with wine. The atmosphere was excellent and virtually all of the customers were Spanish with not a tourist (other than ourselves in sight). You can select your tapas by going inside the bar and pointing out what you want but we found it easier to let Alberto our waiter bring a selection to us and we just told him how many we wanted and he just kept them coming until we could eat no more. We sat outside the bar at one of the tables on the pavement and had an excellent evening with plenty to eat and drink and all without breaking the bank!!
