It specialises in Spanish jamon, cured meats... read more This tiny neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar is hidden in the back streets of Madrid, not far from Retiro Park. It specialises in Spanish jamon, cured meats and cheese, and has about 30 or 40 Spanish wines, by the glass or bottle. Nothing is expensive,...everything is worth trying. Not sure what to drink I was offered a glass of red wine from the Madrid region, and then a glass from Estramadura. Both were delightful. There is jamon good and very good the choice is yours I was told. If you are in Madrid and in need of some real Spanish food, this is the place to go. Not posh, plastic tables and stools, but a wonderful man behind the bar and fabulous food and wine. Full of local people, families with children and lovers of delicious food and wine.
