I absolutely love Mercado San Anton and I have visited numerous times. Occasionally, I will go up to the second floor to grab a bite to eat, and every time I go to Delitaca. The food is absolutely delicious. It's not cheap, but it's fairly priced. The falafel alone is worth a trip. The bottom floor of the building is a supermarket nothing special. But the first floor is a beautiful market with lots of high quality produce, desserts, legumes, etc. The second floor has lots of little deli stalls for a quick bit or maybe even a full meal. While there is quite a bit of seating, it is not particularly comfortable and there is definitely not table service. You have to order at the deli stall, while someone holds down a table. Or you can order your food and then find a place to sit... anyway the food from Delitaca is worth the effort. The food is clearly homemade and the employees are extremely kind lots of vegetarian options, but vegan is more difficult. They know Spanish and English. Don't come here too early in the afternoon though because they take a LONG time to open the deli for business.

Located in the Mercado de San Anton, Delitaca was a welcomed find as I love Greek food and there just isn´t enough of it in Madrid, not this decent anyway. Prices are fair and affordable; Bulgar wheat salad 3.5, prawn and truffle croquetas 6.00, Tzatziki and hummus served with warm flat bread both 3 euros a piece. Really tasty food and affordable prices. Doesn´t disappoint
