We had a brilliant experience here, on our first evening in Madrid (which was a bit of bad luck, as it set a standard, that was hard to compete with for our other chosen dinner restaurants : . The staff and the decor was welcoming. We had a fixed menu with a variety of very tasty food and Rioja wine (plus complimentory snacks and Cava at a very reasonable price. What John V doesn't like about Casa Jorge:
The service was good, nice surroundings, the food was good but not exceptional. We ordered the calçot menu which was mostly meat and not much calçot (large baked spring onions). The big surprise was the bill, 40 € a head, which we considered was far too much bearing in mind the overall quality. At this price we can get far better food in Madrid. They serve you in a great atmosphere and in every detail, well prepared Catalan cuisine. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. has some rice and very good fish. the price is between 40-50€ per head. the calçots you can try in the season are very good, and you can afford it.

Good food (very elaborate.) and regional. good quality of the product. good service and the only glue for which I withdraw a star is its price-quality ratio (meat so they offer) mandatory but not frequent visit site.
