But every time they prepare a coffee, they make a metal noise that disturbs the conversation of the comenals. On the other hand, every time they crush the ice, there is a very annoying noise that interrupts the conversation and attention of the customers. What seems to me most serious is that we made the observation to the girl who attends the bar, and there was no change in behavior. I understand the owners are Venezuelans like me. This in the venezuela wouldn't have allowed it. I personally think there is no supervision of the staff. My Spanish friends, who invited me to the restaurant, felt very sorry for the noises that interrupted all our conversations.

We are in Madrid for a month. We found this place by accident in our first week. We called in for a drink late afternoon and were made to feel very welcome by t... read more We are in Madrid for a month. We found this place by accident in our first week. We called in for a drink late afternoon and were made to feel very welcome by the young curly haired waiter, who brought us a bowl of nibbles with our wine. He was friendly and attentive. We called again a couplemof days later and were again warmly welcomed by the same waiter, and the service was excellent. On the basis of those 2 visits we would give everything 5 stars. We decided to try eating there for our third visit, with a view to making this our local restarant to eat in every couple of days through our stay. Visit 3 went very differently. We were shown a table by a waiter with a beard. We sat there for a while, and eventually went to the bar and asked if we could have some wine and the menu. The wine arrived without the nibbles. We decided on our menu choices but the waiter didnt come to take the order. We watched another couple being served with wine, they got nibbles with their wine. We wondered if the waiter didnt like non Spanish customers? We have been treated exceptionally well everywhere else we have been. Eventually we managed to place the food order, it took a while to attract the waiter,s attention. There were only 4 customers in the premises at the time, we felt as if the waiter was ignoring us on purpose, to be honest. The food was absolutely delicious, but the attitude of this staff member left a lot to be desired. We would describe this visit as a 3 star experience, and we will not return. This has cost the restaurant the rest of our business during oir extended stay in Madrid, we will be eating eslewhere.
