How can a group that has a Michelin two star restaurant can run a place where the service is so poor doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand. The decoration and setup is very nice. It is a trendy and beautiful people restaurant. Up to there all is fine. Then comes the menu... Unless you understand the proposition you will probably make the same mistake we made. This is a sharing restaurant. None of that was explained to us and we ordered as in a classic restaurant. Bad mistake. The plates are small and conceived to be shared in order to taste the offer of flavors and the diversity of the different lines offered. Not to mention that the rate of waiter/client is totally off. We had to beg for somebody to serve us the Cava, then the wine and any other need we had. The head of the group of tables we were sitting in was the only who was aware of our existence. He saw the situation but did nothing to fix it. Very weird. We ordered a wine according to their list and it was the younger brother of the listed one. Another event that deserved no explanation. Overall this was an expensive and bad experience. Any restaurant that doesn't take care of their customers no matter how famous or reputed the Chef is, is condemned to fail sooner or later. Don't lose your time or your money here. There are much better places in Madrid to eat.
Was greatly surprised with our lunch today. The food was great. Have visited the Marbella location three times and had a finishing return for me. The Madrid location is very nicely decorated. Had lunch and can imagine that dinner time should be even nicer. The T-bone was excellent, truffles mashed potatoes very good (could come hotter for my taste), and the ham croquetas are delicious. The one thing we were not crazy about was the tuna tartar. The tuna was very strong and just didn't hit the spot. On the desert we had two: cheesecake and the Nutella ice cream. The cheesecake is ok if you like a light one, but the Nutella is a must. And I really don't like Nutella, but this dish with the popcorn is actually excellent. It is also huge and can easily be shared by four persons.
For a truly special meal this is the place to come. Modern contemporary but with the wow factory. The menu from fresh oysters raw fish Spanish meal and cheese main courses fish including hake bream in salt tuna and sea bass steak game chicken It was so difficult to choose. Wine list extensive cocktail menu and sweets to die for. The best meal I have had in Madrid. Would definitely come again but book early as very hard to get a table.
The food was average and the cod fried fish was just like cheap fish and chips and the suprise was at the end when the deaert came with a bug on the cake!!! I'm very disappointed from this reaturant which many recommended.
We went there with friends after a UEFA Champions Football match and arrived late around 11.30 pm. The place was packed and with nice ambience. It is a beautiful high ceiling restaurant with a 300 pound Tuna decorating the center and Regaton music playing. I had a dish, that is a life changing experience: Tuna T Bone. It is a large cut close from the head of the tuna, and it has two large pieces of meat with a bone in between and around the two steaks. The meat is soft as piece of butter and very tasty. It literally melts in your mouth. I believe that this would be Toro in Japan. From know on, one of my life’s goal is to eat every year this dish. Also the Salmorejo, Rabo de Toro Bun (Ox tail) and Ensaladilla Rusa with eggs where amazing.
