It's a convenient stop within Madras and good for what it is. If you're into Sonic, it's a standard location with all the offerings. A bit short staffed but they seem to be doing their best. The burgers can be rather greasy, and I've never been a huge fan of the chicken since it seems dry, but they have tasty sweets. My partner got me into the ocean water which I would highly recommend now.
Business is closed for drive up orders. I would advise putting cones out. It delayed us by three vehicles in the drive thru.
I was greeted by the attendants voice of audible chocolate. He was cordial and told me the food would come out as soon as it was ready. He wasn't lying. I looked up and he was running with my order in his hand. He might be a one man show but he put on a performance. As we were leaving he chased us down to give us limes, with a smile. I will return.
Just stopped in for some slushies to drink on our drive home to Portland. The team was friendly, and our order was accurate.
We visited this location three times, and each time it was a disappointing experience, earning one star or less. The staff seemed uninterested and acted as if our presence was bothersome. The food was subpar, and we ended up discarding more than half of it. The burger tasted stale and had an unpleasant odor, while the fries were greasy and dark, leading us to throw them away as well. Our next visit showed slight improvement, as we could at least eat the fries, but the burgers were still disappointing. My husband then went alone, and he had the same negative experience. During peak hours, it's surprising to see so few cars in the lot, especially when the restaurant across the street is bustling. Despite trying it over a six-month period, we haven’t returned in months and have no plans to go back. By the way, if you’re traveling through, the new Sonic in Bonners Ferry, ID, is fantastic. We never ordered dessert, so we can't comment on that.
