Was User at Mint Mark a mag?
I had a wonderful experience dining with my daughter. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and charming. The waitstaff assisted us in ordering the appropriate amount of food for our table, which was very helpful since most of the menu items felt more like entrees. What User dislikes about Mint Mark:
For a restaurant that offers reservations, the customer service is extremely unorganized. We walked in looking to get a specialty drink, and we were greeted with animosity. Twice we were scolded for trying to sit at the bar because we weren’t on the waitlist, and we were never told how to get on the wait list. There are many places in Madison with specialty drinks who make you feel more welcomed and valued for your p... View all feedback.

Beautiful location, amazing food. Menu is constantly changing you could blindly pick something from their selection and love the dish. You have to get the biscuit when you go!

This was a first for us because we're back visiting Madison for 12 days. But the food was delicious and one of the best BOFs (Brandy old fashioned) I've had since getting back. The sizes are the best to share but the burger is a full meal if you're looking for one thing only.

The restaurant features inventive and delicious dishes that are perfect for sharing. The ambience is wonderful, complemented by a selection of tasty soft cocktails and friendly staff. We chose to sit at the kitchen bar, which allowed us to watch all the dishes being served and pick out what looked best. It was great to have the option to order individual items instead of having everything served at once.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. Upon entering the dimly lit dining room, I was welcomed by a stunning long bar and the laughter of diners enjoying their meals and drinks. My high expectations were quickly met as we took a seat at the bar, where our enthusiastic and outstanding bartender became our friend throughout our visit. She provided fantastic food and cocktail recommendations, and engaged in delightful conversation while we dined. Overall, this place offers a wonderful experience, and the food is bursting with amazing flavors. I highly recommend it—definitely a five out of five!

I had a wonderful experience dining with my daughter. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and charming. The waitstaff assisted us in ordering the appropriate amount of food for our table, which was very helpful since most of the menu items felt more like entrees. The drinks were also fantastic, offering a variety of delicious non-alcoholic and alcoholic options, along with a nice selection of ghost-style beverages. When it comes to the food, the honey and fresh butter biscuit is an absolute must-try. We also enjoyed the Pasta Carbonara and the steak with Choron sauce. Overall, it was a delightful meal!

Nestled in Madison, Mint Mark is a unique culinary gem renowned for its creative small plates and stunning ambiance. While some diners appreciate the innovative menu and flavor-packed dishes, others criticize the high prices, limited options for dietary restrictions, and occasionally disorganized service. The cocktails, however, receive widespread acclaim, especially when enjoyed at the second bar positioned within the kitchen. This charming spot has quickly become a favorite for both casual meals and special occasions, inviting patrons to savor flavorful dishes like pierogi and the signature cheeseburger. Overall, Mint Mark stands out as a must-visit for food enthusiasts in the area.

This is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, which is tough for me to admit. I used to believe that my own breakfast sandwich was the best in the world, and 90% of my self-worth was tied to that belief. Now I realize that I might only be the second best. How many other amazing breakfast sandwiches are out there? It makes me wonder who I am, aside from someone who makes the second-best breakfast sandwich in the city. I don’t know.

This place has rapidly become my favorite spot for weekday breakfast meetings as well as for dinners with friends, my husband, or just by myself. The dinner menu is constantly evolving, featuring dishes that both delight and surprise, evoking feelings of warmth and nostalgia. Chef Shawn infuses creativity and genuine passion into the food offerings, while Chad presents an inventive and enjoyable cocktail menu. During the day, Kyle and Gwen deliver fantastic coffee drinks in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

The food was fantastic—fresh and exciting! I sampled some new dishes like snails and duck, and I can't wait to return for more. The staff was incredibly friendly, even during the busy rush. We had a larger group for a work party, but the food and service made the wait worthwhile. Mint Mark is a new spot for a culinary adventure that will leave your taste buds craving more.

These were amazing dishes, and while yes, they were small plates, every single bite was so packed with flavor that this is what the word savor was invented for. I highly recommend the pierogi and the Basque cake especially!

This charming little restaurant offers exceptional and distinctive cuisine! The menu changes occasionally, which I really appreciate because it gives you a chance to sample new dishes each visit. However, there are a few staples like the cheeseburger that remains a constant, and once you try it, you'll see why! The drinks are also fantastic! Be sure to check it out—it's one of my favorite local spots here in Madison!

This restaurant is very modern, has a great location, and serves excellent food! It feels like a tapas bar you'd find in Spain, as the dishes are smaller and meant for sharing among everyone at the table. They offer gluten-free, vegan options, as well as meat dishes. We shared four plates (two vegan options: honeydew melon and zucchini, risotto, and fried pork) among three of us, and everyone left feeling satisfied. I particularly enjoyed the pork dish, which was served like chicken-fried steak with a delicious gravy. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a unique dining experience with very tasty food!

Had a really sweet waitress, was very accommodating even though we ordered food super late. The best plate for us was the sweet corn pudding! Relaxing atmosphere but maybe a little bit of a haughty crowd. Maybe it was just a fluke. Still definitely a fun place to eat at otherwise

This spot holds such a special place in my heart, I cannot recommend it enough! The food at Mint Mark can only be described as a soulful work of art. Each dish is such a labor of love, using seasonal ingredients with techniques that highlight their flavors. It’s hard to recommend specific dishes because the menu changes often. But! The pastas are always phenomenal, the terrines are a joy, and anything with either cauliflower or cabbage is a must-try. Not sure what to order? Ask the friendly staff for their current favs! The drinks match the beauty of the food. From fun twists on classics to drinks with flavor combinations that are unheard of, the bartenders here are nothing less than artists! Again, hard to recommend something, as the drinks are often changing. But! Don’t forget to ask about the sangrita on tap and take full advantage of any seasonal drinks. To top this all off, ambiance is hip and lively, a delightfully fun place to visit. Patio is first come, first served, so get there early!

During our recent visit to Madison, we enjoyed an extraordinary meal at this restaurant. The ambiance was fantastic, and the food was outstanding, featuring a variety of dishes made with seasonal vegetables. I really appreciate the shared plates format, which makes dining even more enjoyable. As noted by other reviews, the cocktail menu is also impressive. We tried the Wisconsin Old Fashion and the Friday Fish Fry, but my top recommendation would be the carrot ravioli—it was simply delightful. Don't overlook the biscuit either; it's a must-try! I'm looking forward to returning to this gem on my next trip to Madison!

Be prepared to spend a bit! I ordered an appetizer that featured leeks, which seemed to be a popular choice. It was my first time trying it, and it was just okay—nothing special about it. With that, a beer, and a 20% tip, my bill came to $28, but it didn’t really fill me up. I might consider going back to try something different, but it better be worth it!

Madison, Wisconsin, is the home of government and the University of Wisconsin. Everything revolves around these two institutions. This means that businesses are geared to serve their tastes. In terms of restaurants, there are many chain foods, pubs, and steak joints. If you are a foodie you need to get out of the peninsula and into the neighborhoods. One in particular is in Schenk-Atwood called Mint Mark. I found out about it on a good restaurant review website. We went to Resy to make reservations but could not, and they were booked a month out. I asked if they would take walk-ins, and they said yes. First, my two-word review is fucking incredible. Okay, now that I got that out of my system, here are the details. This is a storefront restaurant on a lonely stretch of Winnebago Street. When you walk in, there is a beautiful bar awaiting you with incredible cocktails. You can sit at the bar, or there is a small dining area with well-crafted wood benches and chairs. The service is great. We ordered two cocktails : The Pumpkin Spice Barbie and a rotating cocktail with blackberry, lime, and other well--crafted ingredients. The menu is imaginative and primarily vegetarian. The plates are small, so you must order four for two people. We ordered the Friday Fish Fry hey, this is Wisconsin), A Biscuit with cultured butter and garlic honey); The Ravioli with ricotta, pleasant ridge fontina, bandaged cheddar, and truffle oil); Schitzel milked poached celery root, caper currant ravigote and lemon), and the Burrata sweet potato latke, calabrian chili, and sherry maple syrup). Each dish was incredible and I was blown away by the craft and flavor profiles. We were tempted to get the Carrot Cake dessert, but we were full. When we got the bill $108.00) it did not have additional fees. This was a fair bill for the service, great cocktails, and cuisine. I have been to hundreds of restaurants. Mint Mark is in the top 1% of a very competitive list.

I absolutely adore the ambiance at Mint Mark. It's a stunning restaurant, and I find it especially unique that they have a second bar right in the kitchen. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend sitting there to watch the chefs at work. The cocktails are delightful, too. However, the menu is somewhat limited and may not be very accommodating for those of us with dietary restrictions.
