This is the best bbq restaurant in Madison hands down. A fun playful energetic environment and great customer service to go with it. The corn bread is very addictive. You can't go wrong here. I would give this place 6/5 stars. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Famous Dave's -b-que:
Beef is terrible, very hard. Pig meat was fat. The food was lukewarm. You slopped sauce on anything you want or not. Beans taste like glazed pigs and beans. Cole Slav was excessively creamy. Muffins were hot and delicious. Potatoes were good. I look forward to eating and very disappointed! View all feedback.
I like the order at the switch. Place nice and clean. Eat, not so good. I have the cattle breeze and broccoli. Both, well cooked. Beef was really fat. Good workers. Muffins were good.
Same as last time; the Beef Brisket was half Un-edible Fat . While I understand Beef Brisket is naturally fatty , that doesn 't mean it needs to be served in place of edible meat. The tips were dry but edible. Fries and cornbread were good but don 't make up for a lack of food. I won 't be back.
The food was great. I know where to come when traveling to Madison, Wisconsin.
This Peach Cobbler was sooo disgusting. How do you serve someone this and don?t expect they will have an upset stomach lol. The dough for the cobbler was very much ?uncooked? and the peaches were soo hard not soft enough. I also got the St. Louis SpareRibs and they were pink as in the color and I never eat my ribs with that much pink let alone any. They weren?t ?smoked? as they should be. The cooks in the back look as if they were rushing people food. I definitely would NOT recommend this place!
The bacon burger was stupid delicious! Juiciest burger ever. Even with the condiments, the smokiness came through. The kids had chicken strips that were also quite good with mac cheese on the side. For dessert, the bread pudding is a must. The praline sauce is to die for, all complimented with a cup of vanilla ice cream.
