Eagle Crest - Madison
Eagle Crest
Description
Nestled in a cozy bar atmosphere, this restaurant offers a mix of delightful flavors and hit-or-miss experiences. Diners rave about the mouthwatering burgers, generous portions, and reasonable prices, making it a contender for comfort food. However, inconsistent service, particularly during peak hours with limited staffing, can lead to frustrating delays and mistakes in orders. While some patrons enjoy their meals and the nostalgic vibe, others recount unsatisfactory encounters marked by poor customer service and unappetizing dishes. A mixed bag, this restaurant shows potential for great value but challenges in execution that diners should consider.

This visit was an improvement from my previous experiences. The service was a bit slow due to being short-staffed, but it was not a major issue. I will definitely be returning.
The dining experience was absolutely terrible. Despite hearing rave reviews about this place for the past 5 years, we were very disappointed when we finally tried it. The waitress also served as the cook and bartender, and the menu only offered sandwiches. We ordered a well-done hamburger for $9.00, which was served with a pickle and a few pieces on a hard Texas toast. The bacon was overcooked and inedible. The only positive aspect was that the Pabst Blue Ribbon and Miller Lite were cold. After a $35.00 tab and a box of uneaten leftovers, we had a very bad overall experience.
I have been to this restaurant twice – once for Taco Tuesday and once for Sunday breakfast. I had a very positive experience both times with the food and the staff.
The new owner is making positive changes at the restaurant. If you haven't visited in a while, it's worth checking out!
