Reviews - Alt Brew
Reviews summary
Alt Brew is a small Wisconsin brewery dedicated entirely to gluten-free beer, brewing millet-based ales that taste remarkably like traditional craft beers. The taproom serves a rotating lineup—hefeweizen, IPAs, Oktoberfest, ciders and more—with friendly, knowledgeable staff happy to explain methods. Lighter styles earn particular praise; dark porters and stouts are more hit-or-miss. A welcoming stop for celiac and curious beer lovers, it lacks a full gluten-free snack menu but offers bottles to take home.

It was so nice to have good beer again it's one of the things I miss most after my Celiac diagnosis. The beer is amazing, even my non gluten free friend was impressed. Food was good and everyone was so friendly. Next time I'm in Madison, I will be back. View all feedback.

If you're looking for gluten-free beer that is unique and truly delicious, tasting just like "real" beer, you must try Alt Brew! The taproom is a wonderful spot to enjoy their exceptional selection, which is continually rotating.
We planned a whole trip on being to visit this brewery! We have had their bottled beer we bought when passing through Madison but I had never been! We went and were not dissapointed! Great beers and cool little spot to visit! I absouetly LOVED the Oktoberfest and bought some home to enjoy later. We will be back!
First...every beer they make is Gluten free. Yes, it is a Gluten free brewery! Their Hefe, it is gluten free.....a gluten free wheat beer....crazy. they had 11 beers on tap when I stopped. Hazy, Copper, Hefe, DIPA, Octoberfest, cider, blonde, IPA, etc. All the beers were pretty good, the idea that they are gluten free is what is mind blowing, 5 stars for that. The atmosphere is okay. Service is friendly. I will be pointing my less gluten tolerant friends here for sure.
Great gluten free nano brewery. Good beer options, plus some solid cider. Bar staff could have been quicker and more attentive. Otherwise great local place.
After a successful withdrawal of $17,000 from an investment of $1300 from this broker. I'm so excited and unreservedly express my gratitude to Mrs Mariel Ramsey who guided me with through the investment course that yielded me $17,000 profit in just a week. Any fan of craft beer will find solace and comfort in this warm and welcoming new league of its own brewery. With its continuously growing list of delicious 100% gluten free beer, you won 't find a brewery quite like this one. 1 of only 6 gluten free breweries in the nation, this now award holding brewery is becoming a recognized competitor with the popular craft beer market Madison has to offer. The 2016 Great American Beer Festival held in Colorado awarded ALT Brew 's 'Copperhead ' Copper Ale a Silver medal in the gluten free beer category, making ALT one of the only Madison breweries to medal this year. Typically offering 6 beers on tap, the seasonally rotating list has continued to grow from its original 3, to over 10 beers. Whether it 's the friendly staff, the retro room of classic pin ball machines, or the overall sleek and classy appearance, this brewery offers a new/different environment you won 't find in other breweries. Come see for yourself what a brewery that specializes in craft beer, that just happens to be gluten free, has to offer.
Loved the beer selection. Fun to find a gluten free option like this. I am celiac and had no issues with the beer or the food.
Such a fun place! Nice and open and light with plenty of games! The beer is amazing! I have been gluten free for 6 years due to health issues and this is the first gluten free beer that I have liked! I miss dark beer and this dark beer is Awesome! Even my gluten loving friends thought it tasted like a great craft beer! Get a flight!
I have never tasted dark gluten free beers like the Copperhead and Blackwater. This is absolutely 100 percent some of the best stuff I've ever tried since going gluten free over a decade ago. Cannot possibly recommend enough.
