First time for lunch, second time for breakfast- both experiences were great. Convenient right off the highway
I can’t say enough good things about our meal. My dish was amazing from the bottom up: homemade corn tortillas, freshly cooked squash, pickled red onion, fresh onion and cilantro, HOMEMADE vegan créma…. You can even get vegan queso! The chef is super personable and cooked many of our components fresh, even though the restaurant is mostly Qdoba-style assemble as you go ordering. We can’t wait to go back for a brunch!
Literally everything on the menu can be vegan. They have vegan cheeses, mayo, etc and several options for veggie fillings. Also vegan horchata. Come hungry! Portions are massive and prices are very fair. I want to go back and try more, and breakfast!
We were excited to get some traditional Mexican food as it is our favorite. We ended up each getting a three taco dinner but they were out of what we ordered. They tried to make the meat quickly to keep the line going but our food was dry burned. Themenu showed their Thursday special as $2 Tamales so we added this to our order. Much to our surprise 2 Tamales ended up costing$12 and didn't come with rice or beans. When we asked them if there was an error we were informed we read the sign wrong. Wesucked it up but were unhappy as they were also burned so we could only eat the top half of them. We hate leaving unsatisfactoryreviews but wanted to let the owner know that the menu's are confusing, the food was burned warn other customers that for $50it wasn't worth it. We hope they can solve these issues for other customers.
I love Mexican restaurants and have tried nearly all of them in the Madison area. There are so many great places to go. Don't waste your time here. The food wasn't terrible but the service was beyond bad. I would have just left but was with a group anddecided to not make waves. The counter employees were young and apparently trying but the design of the whole counter area isso bad that it made it nearly impossible to communicate with them. Then the owner, Oscar, came in and proceeded to make anincredible scene treating both the employees and my group very poorly. And the amazing thing was that we were the onlycustomers in the restaurant! I can't believe that this place hasn't closed already. Try Taqueria Guadalajara. It's not faraway, really good, and they've always treated me well.
