It 's not fancy so you can drop in and have a decent meal. I especially liked the pizza. But also the salads and the burgers are very nice indeed. If you choose the pizza, the small size was more then I could eat. I normally order a Italian size at Domino 's. Luckily you can take the leftovers in a box. Very kind staff. They try their very best to help you in English. Be aware, as it is a bakery it opens at 7.00 in the morning and closes at 20.00 in the evening. In the morning (especially weekends) lots of locals get in to have their breakfast. There could be a long queue.
Nice Bakery for a big Breakfast. I recommend the freshly pressed orange juice with an espresso and one of the many delicious pastries.
We called in for a sandwich at lunchtime on our first day in Pico It was just round the corner from our hotel. Quite a big cafe with a long menu of many dishes sandwiches, full plates, burgers, pizzas all freshly prepared and very cheap. We opted for a cheese and ham toast and coffee 4 euros. We went again the next day and had their bifanas (pork steak in a roll) and french fries, with a beer. Again very good. Finished off with a great big, gooey cake. Would definitely go there again and recommend.
We have been eating seafood daily for over a week in the Azores and wanted something different. We asked if they would make our omelette with egg whites only, they said of course. We shared an egg white omelette with mushrooms and bacon. The bacon was incredibly lean and tasty, reminding us of Canadian bacon. We also shared a vegetarian crepe With oriental style vegetables inside that was very creative and fresh. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a delicious pastry and espresso to finish the meal.
