Moose and Squirrel - Macrobon

Exciting news for visitors to Padre Burgos! Alma & Jerry have opened a new restaurant right next door to the closed Moose & Squirrel, now called Alma & Jerry's Kitchen. The food is still of the same high quality as before, with a few changes to the menu.

It's a disappointment that Moose & Squirrel has closed down. We used to dine there regularly while staying in Kuting Reef and always enjoyed the local dishes that were prepared to suit foreign tastes. It seemed that Alma & Jerry, who were running the restaurant but didn't own it, were facing some challenges. When we tried to place an order last night, they informed us that the restaurant had shut down the previous week. We hope that Alma & Jerry will open their own restaurant in Lungsodaan soon, as they will be missed by many foreigners who visit the area.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic for the price. The owner goes above and beyond by handpicking fresh coconuts to make a delicious coconut shake just for you. Additionally, she is incredibly friendly.

Ok food. Not a huge selection but nice and fresh. They'll cook it in front of you while you wait. The food is good authentic local food and priced accordingly The staff are very friendly and accommodating. All in all a much better eating experience than eating at one of the overpriced the near by Resorts.If your in the locality give it a try and while you wait as the staff where the name of the Restaurant originated - it's an interesting story.

A few people in Padre Burgos told us about the place, so off we drove looking for it. had a hard time finding it, but it was right in front of the whole time. No one was in the restaurant and we were a little skeptical, but were we ever pleased. The food quality, quantity, taste and service was outstanding we were so amazed at how great the food was and the setting was surreal. Right on the ocean front with a nice breeze blowing while we were there. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and service.
