I had the steak with gratin dauphinois and carrot purée. The steak was cooked perfectly, properly locally sourced. The purée was a mystery to me until the owner told me the chef's secret: 4 spices. As I skipped the starter, I indulged myself with the dessert "le café gourmand ". This is on the fashion in most french restaurants, offering a café with a sample of desserts. Mine was lovely with a fruit purée,chocolate mousse, homemade cake, panacotta and a ice cream. All were very tasty. The atmosphere is more than casual with the owner serving and joking with all the customers. The wine list offers great local wines but also few wines from the new world -a rarity in France! If you are looking for a good simple meal with a great craic, Le Bissy is the perfect place.
