My husband and I have visited Shoki's several times. The food is always wonderful and the atmosphere is great. The chef's are always lively and the service is very good. Whether you know the people at your table when you arrive, you certainly have met when you leave. View all feedback.
What Patrick Hogan doesn't like about Shoki Japanese Steakhouse:
Horrible service. Waited 45 min for sushi. Waitress almost spilled pitcher of water on my leg. (Good thing I have good reactions. The salad was FROZEN! This place was decent for Japanese. Food is about the same you would find elsewhere. The Hibachi cooks weren't very interactive with the diners. The sushi was decent and very tasty. I wasn't disappointed there. I've had better elsewhere.

What was supposed to be hot was not, and what was supposed to be cold was warm. We then waited for the check and received another table’s check. I spoke to the manager and told him how disappointed I was. He, like everyone else there, barely spoke English and just said it was because they were busy as he ran to the kitchen. Go to Mikata instead.
Shoki's offer great service along with great tasting food! Out of all the steakhouses in Macon, Shoki would have to top #1 in the category of Japanese foods. I would recommend any one in the area to try them out! I bet you couldn't resist coming a second time. Not to mention their variety picks of sushi.

The restaurant was exceptional in every aspect. I've visited many Japanese restaurants, and this one stands out as one of the best. The service was excellent, and the food was remarkable. Many people who fail to appreciate this cuisine often lack an understanding of its culture and flavors, coming in with expectations of a typical American steakhouse. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't the right place for you. However, if you're in search of genuine Japanese cuisine, this is definitely the spot to find it.
