Dovetail Macon

Our dinner at Dovetail was really outstanding! The food and service were exceptional! Our waiter, Caleb, was very friendly and very knowledgeable. His recommendations for food and drink were on point. We started with the house pickles and deviled eggs and both were excellent. We shared the house salad and scallops, and the scallops were cooked perfectly! We also shared the sea bass entrée and it was also cooked to perfection! And whoever made that romesco sauce has got it going on, lol!!! We highly recommend Dovetail: great food and great service.

Would go again, didn’t have ingredients for a majority of mocktails, permanently turned a friend off with alcohol entirely when the server suggested a non alcoholic beer. Should have known better. Especially After we stated to make a low abv cocktail. A Shirley temple with a quarter oz. Of vodka would have sufficed rather than a nonalcoholic ipa flavor beer. Food was phenomenal, however, expected more though with how the community talks up this place.

The food was excellent, service was as well. The vibe in the whole space was quiet, well appointed, soft lighting, and intimate seating in a small dining area. Do not leave the restaurant without getting the cracked pie!!!! It is everything they say and more!!
