Homestyle Bakery & Lunch Counter

This is probably the best restaurant in our town. They have amazing traditional mennonite soups as well as some great home cooked burgers, sandwiches and other assorted lunch items. Feels a little pricy but nothing beats some good old mennonite cooking.

While visiting La Crete, we ate a hot breakfast at this restaurant a couple of times and quite enjoyed ourselves. The meal was reasonably priced and promptly served. The baked goods looked very, very good and were highly recommended by other people we talked to. There is a good selection of cinnamon buns, butter horns, cookies, and the like for anyone with a sweet tooth. The venue was located in a new building, was clean, and the service friendly and quick. The place was always full of patrons which is a very good sign. For anyone who is a bakery fan, this is a must-see place whenever you are in La Crete. Be advised that it is closed on Sundays.

Good place to go for a quick bite with very good soups & sandwiches and also hot meals. They have excellent chicken.

We dined at this restaurant during a visit to our daughter in late June 2018. We were extremely pleased with the tasty food! The prices were fair, the service was quick, and there were plenty of meal and dessert options available. Additionally, they offered a wide variety of homemade frozen meals, making it convenient to enjoy a delicious dinner at home or work. We highly recommend this restaurant!

I'm here for lunch and I want to go back before my work trip is over. this is a place of simple but tasty eating with an Eastern European atmosphere. the restaurant belongs mennonites, I think so good kitchen is expected! the rolls are fresh and delicious as all baked (I had a blueberry butterhorn, blueberries spoilable, jam cookie, and oreo cookie so far. so far, I have sampled the chili and a scorching. both were great. the prices are also very reasonable here.
