Lunches are a little on the pricey side but the servings are... read more Food is awesome - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfasts are reasonably priced and coffee is good. Lunches are a little on the pricey side but the servings are huge. Try the Marque burger... so yum and you will be ridiculously full. Dinner is also a little pricey but the quality of food is high and the serving sizes are quite large.My only criticism is that the menu isn't that large.

Hailing from Airlie beach and being without power since 27th March and consequently eating quite badly for over a week, all I was craving was something fresh and light for breakfast, smashed avo with lemon on toast, something along those lines. This restaurant doesn't do anything like that. I ended up ordering eggs, spinach and mushrooms on brioche but it came to the table drowned in cold caterers hollandaise sauce. Not pleasant. I also asked for a side of avocado and received a tiny bowl of $3 avocado that looked and tasted like it came from one of those mass produced ready to use tubes from woolies. If you're after a run of the mill hot breakfast then pay this place a visit but if you want fresh, light, healthy options for breakfast, this place is not it.

On a dismal night in Mackay, there had been 90+mils of rain during the day, I decided that I was not going to brave the weather so I had dinner at the Rivermarq... read more On a dismal night in Mackay, there had been 90+mils of rain during the day, I decided that I was not going to brave the weather so I had dinner at the Rivermarque.I had their fish special which was a crispy salmon with salsa.An OK dish if slightly overcooked to my taste.I was going to give them another try, this time for breakfast, but there was a sign in the lift saying that the restaurant was unavailable for breakfast and lunch for two days as there was a private function.Perhaps there was a message in the unavailability so I went elsewhere and found somewhere with excellent coffee and great friendly service.

I highly... read more I had my work Christmas party at this restaurant tonight and all I can say is WOW!! The service, food, drinks, and atmosphere were absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend this place. The night was made even better by the friendly staff and the delicious food. Thank you, Marque Bar Grill!! We will definitely be returning.
