Was Anonym at The Sutton Gamekeeper a mag?
My husband enjoyed a delicious homemade venison pie with chunky chips, while I savored a tasty queen scallop cuckoo dish with a crispy pommes salad and zesty dressing. For dessert, I had rhubarb tea, sorbet, and a hidden cream. The food was all delicious, wholesome, and authentically prepared, and the staff were very friendly. I just wish this restaurant was closer to where I live. View all feedback.

Today we had lunch and drinks at this restaurant. We ordered the kids fish and chips, which were perfect - very fresh with the batter cooked just right. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and also dog and child friendly. The drink selection was impressive and the place was clean. There is a beer garden outback and the staff were friendly. Parking was a bit of a challenge when we went on a Friday at 2pm, but it's manageable during busy times. We definitely want to come back and try something else from their main menu.

Hubby had an amazing home made venison pie, and fabulous chunky chips. I had a very moreish Queenie Scallop cheesy dish accompanied by lovely crispy yummy fries salad with a rather tasty zingy dressing. I finished off with rhubarb tart, sorbet and clotted cream. It was all delicious, wholesome, rustic food properly cheffed and very flavoursome. Lovely people too. Wish it were closer to home.

Stumbled across this pub after a visit to the nearby Treacle Markets and we will be definitely going again. Despite being a busy Sunday lunchtime and lack of reservation the staff were pleasant and managed to find us a table by the log fire. The roast lamb was cooked to perfection with accompanying sides to compliment including a fantastic homemade mint sauce. Overall one of the finest Sunday lunches I've eaten!

We stumbled across this pub after a long (and very wet! walk. We were instantly welcomed and got the best spot next to the open fire. We had a couple of drinks and loved it so much that we booked a table for dinner. The food was superb and the landlord was so friendly. We shall definitely be making a trip back to visit this wonderful place!
