In my opinion Pou Tai Un is the loveliest temple on Taipa Island dating back to the mid 1800's with very fine painted wooden features finely cast Buddha Guan Yin statues. ......plus they have a very fine Buddhist veggy restaurant often using locally grown fresh vegetables in the dishes super relaxed atmosphere everything was freshly prepared each time that I visited. A memorable place. One staff member was enthusiastic to tell us something of the history of the temple. Local people visit come go continuously. Some of the mock meats probably contain whey powder I stick to veggies rice dishes
Unfortunately, the menu was only in Chinese, so I am not sure what I missed, but the waitress could translate auberginen tofu and wonton so that I got. eating was a little oily and bland.
This restaurant is located in the tempel and is located in the lower floor. Eat is nice and tasty and served in large part. very nice atmosphere and cozy.
This tempel is worth a visit as the largest tempel in taipa island, as well as one of the largest in macau. it houses sleeping rooms for the sangha, as well as the largest bronze Buddha statue in macau. the compound has many beautiful plants and bonsai carefully from the few gardens in the tempel as well as the cook that always helps with the plants if not in the kitchen. the employees of the service are voluntary who are Buddhists who convey a very warm and uncommercial feeling to the place. it is extremely quiet and quiet, occasionally with chants from the higher etagens when it goes to ceremonies or Dharma classes. the tempel also possessed many beautiful religious artifects, paintings, wood demand, calligraphy scrolls, etc.
