Pricey, but definitely worth it. Food is over excellent. Service is perfectly smooth, but not overwhelming yet intrusive. Ambient is colonial, but very comfortable. And her wine card is really impressive. View all feedback.
What Verónica Ribeiro doesn't like about Guincho A Galera:
Ok maybe I just hold high standards and expectations for Lisboa. A few reasons for the 3 stars: 1. Absolute food quality needs improvement. The clams are not that fresh albeit size being relatively big. The cod fish has similar issue, and slightly overcooked, slightly salty. All the slightly missing points lead to a mediocre dining experience 2. Slow service. Served bread after being seated for 25min. Actual food did... View all feedback.
The tasting menu was delicious and inexpensive. The fillet was absolutely delicious and the dessert trolley was a great way to finish the meal. I have to get two desserts and a selection of ice cream. In addition, they gave another box of bet four, it was really great.

Highly recommended! I had a delicious dinner in Boa Mesa during Chinese New Year. We loved the appetizers- garlicky clams and a simple but yummy vegetable salad. We also really liked the cod (my friend's choice and octopus (the octopus was amazing and both mains were really generous portions . There's a big choice of Portuguese wine (a pretty extensive wine list and they also serve Portuguese beer (in chilled glasses, what a nice touch! . Before our appetizers arrived, we were served warmed up bread with olives, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It might not be the most budget friendly restaurant but the food was authentic and delicious and we couldn't be happier! We regret not coming back to Boa Mesa the following night.
A Portuguese Fine Dining restaurant located at Hotel Lisboa level 3. Nice ambience, great foods and attentive service.
An embarrassment to Portuguese cuisine! We Portuguese are extremely proud of our food and a great thing about real fine dinning Portuguese restaurants is that they manage to reinvent dishes while keeping the awesome flavors. None of this was true at Guincho A Galera! The Caldo Verde (literally green soup tasted like a totally different and blant soup. In general the element of dishes are not connected whatsoever and don 't add a thing to the main food. On top of all this, my Bacalhau gratinado came with raw potatoes and it was not more than tons o Bechamel source with an extremely poor quality cod fish. On top of this, I was presented with a huge fish bone (over 5cm long . Showed it to the waitress, who said she will tell it to the chef, but never even got an apology... Extremely rude...
