Open for lunch on Sunday, we enjoyed a lovely banquet lunch, with excellent service, fabulous food and lovely host. Because it was my fathers 79th birthday we were brought an extra entree course which delighted our family. Attended a set lunch here with about 20 people to celebrate a reunion. Went with my friends for the first time to dine in. The place was a little quiet during lunch time which was perfect as we were given a big round table with a lazy susan. The food we tried were great especially the fried prawns dish which my friend insisted we should order turns out to be super yum and not heavily battered. The owner came out to have a chat and making us feel welcome. We'll most definitely come back again and will have their famous fried ice cream!!
The food was nice. We had satay beef and fried salt pepper eggplant. The satay could've had a bit more flavour. Their mixed entree was good, but not a fan of the spring roll filling. A bit mushy and tasted of aniseed. Servings are generous.
My favourite take away place. I always call in advance to be sure I don't wait that long. Their chicken wings are my favourite and their spring rolls are really good. I prefer this over the other Asian restaurants near the area as the servings are heaps more and it's quite affordable. Try their lunch specials and you'll get your money's worth.
I am happy to report that this place serves legitimate food. Everything was full of flavours and I high recommend this place. Cosy atmosphere too.
I drove all the way from Sydney almost 4 hours, just coming for this best Chinese restaurant in Canberra.
