A local chain spanning several branches around the downtown area, is run by a Macau born Portuguese mixed Chinese. Combining both worlds, the establishment boasts a Portuguese style of hospitality and inspired painted tile interior. More importantly, the food features a meld of Eastern ingredients with Portuguese cooking methods, including deep fried codfish balls and imchi. Morning patrons can expect a wide variety of breakfast and snacks calling to Hong Kong’s char chan teng; from the likes of sandwiches, noodles, to tea and coffee. The and are simple in plating, but shine in their respective flavours. For the former, the thin curry broth boasts a turmeric aroma and the cuts of beef are tender and flavourful. As for the latter, the duck breast are smoked and tender, coupling well with springy noodles and a savoury broth that warms the soul. The drinks are equally executed well, with the done expresso style, with the aroma of Sri Lankan tea leaves and a foamy milk finish.
