The Taps - Lytham
The Taps
Description
The Taps offers a varied experience for visitors, balancing charm and challenges. While many appreciate the friendly staff, excellent selection of ales, and inviting atmosphere, some lament the loss of its former glory. The inclusion of large screens broadcasting football can detract from the ambiance, making it feel less welcoming, especially on busy quiz nights. However, the outdoor seating area and quiet corners make it an appealing spot for relaxed gatherings. Overall, The Taps retains its potential for a delightful outing, contingent on service consistency and the avoidance of distractions.

Lovely decor, great selection of beers, sports on TV. A great place for drinks with friends. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Used to be a 5 star pub. Since changing ownership it’s sadly lost its soul. Most of the lovely old features in place. The worst thing is the inclusion of a number of large ugly screens so wherever you sit you have to watch the endless football whether you are interested or not. Very sad. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
My fiends and I like The Taps for several reasons. There is a great variety of well kept beers to choose from. The staff are friendly and efficient. The ambience is quiet enough to have a conversation amongst ourselves. Around 4 p.m. on a Thursday we can usually find seats. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
