Was Sam Keske at Buckledown Brewing a mag?
The beers had a mixed reception—some were hits, like the bright, hazy IPA, while others were misses with an unexpectedly strong bitterness. Parking was a bit of a challenge. The atmosphere was cozy, but it felt almost cramped on a busy night. However, it's conveniently located near Midway. View all feedback.

What Ivonne G dislikes about Buckledown Brewing:
The venue itself is quite small, and even with the patio open, it can be difficult to find a spot on busier days, and parking can be a challenge as well. The other customers tend to be friendly, which is a plus. The beer selection remains the same, but I would love to see some new options added. View all feedback.

Neve had any problems here until recently... I've been here a few times with my partner and friends, everything is usually good here. Last time, however, my partner and I came here, he ordered a beer and I decided to just have water. We walked to the patio and a bartender chased us outside and yelled at us that we couldn't go to the parking lot, even though we were headed to the patio. So we went back inside feeling embarrassed. Eventually we sat at a table and that same bartender stared at me the entire time. It was to the point where I was extremely uncomfortable and my partner quickly finished his beer and we left. If he was concerned I was underage or something he could have asked for my ID(I'm 27) or notice that I wasn't drinking anything but water. I never want to go back. I don't know who that bartender is or what his name is but he is very ignorant and seems to enjoy making people feel uncomfortable and embarrass them...sad considering we gave a lot of business in the past..

BuckleDown is a great discovery in Lyons. While it may not have the most impressive exterior, it definitely surpasses expectations with its selection of beers and food. This small brewery offers a diverse array of beers, and if you're having trouble deciding, you can try a flight. You can also snack on pretzels while you sip. The brewery is located in an interesting spot, relatively isolated from other attractions. Although it's a compact space, it features a good variety of beers, including a few staples and some seasonal specials. Prices are reasonable at about $5 per pint, which is quite affordable for a craft brewery. On my last visit, I tried the Cactus Pants, a Mexican lager—perfectly fitting given the number of Mexican establishments in town. The food menu is limited, with a soft pretzel priced at $7. They even make their own beer cheese. Plus, you’re allowed to bring in outside food. The place tends to attract mostly locals, as it’s somewhat off the beaten path, located on 47th near Ogden. There’s also a patio, which helps alleviate the crowding inside when the weather is nice.

I was genuinely impressed by this place. It has the charm of a cozy little brewery that you would expect to see emerging in the area. Although it's on the smaller side, their beers are all excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Hefeweizen and the IPA. Everyone in my group had a fantastic time. There are also a few arcade and board games to enjoy. The only downside is that some of the locals have their quirks. It seems like many locals frequent this spot, which is great, and they also engage in local charity work every month, which is admirable. The bartender, in particular, was outstanding—she truly made the experience special. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely stop by. This place is the real deal!

Lots of refreshing options! I got a flight with some fruity options and loved them all. Service was great, the bartender was incredibly accommodating and nice. Literally the only reason I took off a star is because no AC was on, and it was quite warm in there, but if that doesn't bug you, 5 stars for sure. Will be back for more!

Great beer, the taproom is a little small, but it's worth a visit.

This brewery is super dog friendly. 4 legged patrons can even relax indoors.

9 beers on tap. Very relaxed atmosphere. No kitchen, but apparently they feature local food on Thursday. You can bring your own food and enjoy it with some of their beer. Howlers and growlers to go.

Customer service has been declining. They also changed their dog friendly policy : which is upsetting.

These guy's are awesome!!! I was in the area and stopped by for a beer on a Monday without checking the hours and days that they are open.I soon found out that they are closed on Mondays, but they did not turned me away at all.Instead I was welcomed and they offer me packaged beer to take home and since it was my first time there they let me taste the beer before I decided to buy. Thank You for the great service and for the awesome IPA'S, I can't wait to go back.

What a cool find! My flight out of Midway was delayed so me and my friend decided to find a bar to hang out as we had a gut feeling my flight was going to be cancelled in the next hour.Driving up, we weren't sure what to expect as it was night time and the area around BuckleDown Brewing was quiet, especially for a Saturday. However as soon as we pulled into the car park we knew we had chosen well. The bar looked cool and inviting, and there were a half dozen people hanging out inside, and I even spotted a pinball machine. The atmosphere was great. There was some cool music playing at the perfect level and everyone in the bar were chatting with friends. There were a group at the bar playing a board game. The barman was very friendly and helped us choose our beers which were delicious. If you're passing though like we were, I highly recommend stopping by. And if you live near by make sure you start going! It should be much busier on an a Saturday night!Oh, and my flight was cancelled. I wasn't too mad though as I got to try a fun new beer, a black rye IPA, which was delicious!

This is my favorite brewery. However, I should mention that dogs are not allowed here. My personal favorite is the Cactus Pants lager. I also really appreciate that they've teamed up with a local pizza place. Now if only we could get some tacos too! Thank you, Buckledown, for serving the best beer in the Chicagoland area.
