Despite a slow night, our food arrived promptly. Prices are very reasonable. Keep in mind the menu is somewhat limited and the hours are short, which is typical for a small family business with other commitments. They clearly run this place out of passion rather than just work, which is refreshing. The brisket could use a bit more flavor, but the pulled pork was delicious, and the ribs had a unique taste that’s worth trying at least once. The sides were enjoyable, and the desserts were exceptional. Overall, it’s a great alternative to the usual dining options in the Newark/Lyons area.

He ordered the ribs and brisket combo, while I went with the rib dinner. Our food arrived surprisingly fast and was incredibly tasty. Each meal included two sides and a piece of moist, flavorful cornbread. We also picked up some dessert to enjoy later. The portions were generous and seasoned to perfection. The owners were very welcoming, and I’m really glad we gave this place a chance!

The brisket was dry and lacked seasoning, while the ribs were okay. The mac and cheese stood out as really good. Considering the price, it was an alright evening, but with the questionable food quality, it's understandable why it wasn’t very busy on a Saturday night.
