I told my friend that I wouldn 't mind a beer and a French ham sandwich. She brought me to WALLACE rue de la Claire. A large range of beers and whiskies and good food. The fisn 'n ' chips were nearly...like back home large portion of fish in batter with pea purée and chips. The pint of newcastle brown was too chilled for me but better than the lagers on offer. And I was surprised by the cheescake for afters. The service is great, without pretention. I really enjoyed my lunch.

The manager was rude and completely uninterested in making our... read more I visited this beer bar with some friends and was absolutely shocked by how bad the service was. The manager was rude and completely uninterested in making our visit enjoyable. Not only did he treat us like we were an inconvenience, but he was also incredibly stingy with the beer servings. We ordered a round and he gave us smaller portions than usual, then refused to give us a second glass to share. When we asked, he made a face like we were asking for something unreasonable. The atmosphere was ruined by his attitude. It’s clear that the management here doesn’t care about customer satisfaction, just about squeezing as much money as possible out of each patron. I won’t be coming back and I highly recommend you avoid this place if you value good service and a friendly atmosphere.
