Great experience overall. Staff were very accommodating and even with our language barrier we felt very welcomed. They set a table just for us and allowed us to have coffee till lunch was served. We didn’t catch that we were up-charged for items we didn’t have until we left, and with how gracious they were, we hope it was just a mistake and not targeting us as tourist. Loved how helpful a few waitstaff were and the kitchen staff.
A small but delicious menu with the food presentation nearly as good as the food itself. Our waitress was English speaking and asked our likes and dislikes before recommending various dishes. This restaurant is hidden away from the average tourist but as it was quite full I suspect it is really popular with the locals
This restaurant is not far from Lyon Part-Dieu, which is an excellent to grab a nice lunch before catching a train. We arrived as a family of 5, just before 15h00 and they made us feel very welcome. At the end of the meal, the cook came to talk to us and we could see how passionate he was about his job. The owner even showed us his kitchen (as my ten-year-old wants to become a cook). Food was very good and they accommodated our needs very well. Thank you.
I came here with a group of 20 (we had made a reservation a week in advance) and we left very disappointed. In the three hours we were there, not once did anyone bring us more water (and they had originally only brought us 4 tiny bottles for the 20 people there). This was an expensive restaurant with a very limited menu (and no vegetarian option other than a salad). They brought bread that was not home cooked or warm in the least, but seemed like it was from a freezer in the back. With our large group, we waited about 90 minutes for our food, after the waited notified us they were out of salmon and we needed to alter our orders. For the price of the food, it was definitely not worth it. Portions were small, and our bill got messed up at the cash (fairly certain we were overcharged by ~30euros but we all just wanted to leave at this point). Would not recommend... there are much nicer places in Lyon.
