Gladys and her husband welcomed us in and provided cold house mad... read more We arrived in Lyon hot and tired too early for our accommodation next door to this restaurant. Gladys and her husband welcomed us in and provided cold house made lemonade and chatted with us in a mix of French and English. Our French is woeful so we appreciated the effort they made to communicate. We booked for dinner when their son, who speaks reasonably fluent English, works front of house. We enjoyed creamy hummus, fresh tabhouli and other traditional morsels cooked fresh in their kitchen. The highlight being the kubbe. The entire experience resulted in a pleasurable introduction to Lyon.

But the wine is quite expensive and the... read more Very cosy Syrian restaurant, owner and waitresses are very friendly, the quality of the food is very good, fresh, tasty. But the wine is quite expensive and the menu is small. Nevertheless, as a vegetarian, the owner suggested to replace the meat with falafel, it was very good and I liked that the owner payed attention on his customers !
